macOS 10.14.3 -- Can't view PDFs with Acrobat DC

I am running macOS 10.14.3 on a 2018 Mac mini. I can launch Acrobat DC but I am unable to view any PDFs. When I select one to open the program acts as if it has loaded but I do not get any display window on my monitor. I have tried removing and reinstalling the program to no avail. For the moment I am using Preview for my PDF viewing. I have tried to search for solutions but not found anything helpful.

    Correct answer Test Screen Name

Try to open a PDF. Immediately, with Acrobat in the menu bar, use Window > Tile > Horizontal. Quit Acrobat and restart it.

Thank you -- it worked! The window scrolling is not very smooth, which is odd given the specs of my Mac, but it is working so thank you for the swift reply.
