Question

Mail Won't Send PDFs from Scanner

Although it has not been a problem in the past, I am now unable to send an e-mail using Mail (on a MAC PRO) with a PFD file attached.  This happens when I try from the Acrobat Reader window or as a separate e-mail with a PDF added as an attachment.

Hi,

Thanks for reporting the issue!

We tried on few Mac machines and "Attach to Email" works fine here at our end. Could you please provide more info so that we can try to replicate the issue on a similar setup locally.

Kindly provide the following info:

-Exact steps you are trying and error snapshot if any.

-Mac OS version?

-Adobe Acrobat Reader version?

-If the issue occurs with every file?

Kindly share the error snapshot if any at my email: [ Moderator: Personal information removed] via private message: How Do I Send Private Message

Thank you Avid.

I am using Acrobat Reader version 2018.011.20036.

Mac OS version High Sierra 10.13.3

I am not getting any error message, the e-mail goes to my Mail Outbox and sits there and doesn’t get sent.

I re-open the message and try to forward it to the recipient and it still doesn’t get sent.

It happens when I scan a document and then send it from the Acrobat window where the scanned document appears.

Yesterday, after it didn’t work for a few multi-page documents, it did work once for a scan that was only one page (smaller file size).

The other issue is that once one of these e-mails gets stuck in my Outbox, Mail will not send any other e-mails, even without attachments, until I delete the one that is stuck.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for your quick response!

Could you please share us some file so that we can try the steps at our end. You can send files for which the issue occurs to me at: [Moderator: Personal information removed] via private message: : [Moderator: Personal information removed] via private message: How Do I Send  Private Message. It might not be related to Adobe Acrobat as it attaches the files in draft email.

Arvind
