mailto hyperlink opens home page of domain

I inserted a mailto hyperlink (name@Domain.com) in PowerPoint, it works fine. When I converted it to PDF and click the hyperlink, the home page of the domain (Domain.com) opens.

I contacted Microsoft and they said it's an issue with compatibility and I should contact Adobe.
