Question

Mapping Smart Tags

Sometimes Reader automatically asks to prepare the smart tags in a file.  Sometimes it doesn't.

How can I get it to identify the smart tags if it doesn't ask?

Thank You

Nardo

You can look at the tags with Adobe Acrobat, not Acrobat Reader.

Maybe I am asking the wrong question.

When I export a PDF file out of AutoCAD or Revit; the first time that I open that file with Adobe Reader, it asks to set up the pages.  If I say yes, it takes several minutes to process and then the tags to Elevations and Section view become links to those views.

If I am in a hurry and cannot wait, I choose No.  Then it lets me go right to the views that I want, but the tags don't become active.  I don't get that option to set up the pages after that.  How can I get it to do that function if I didn't choose Yes the first time that I open it?

I have been doing it with the free reader.  I did it with a new file yesterday.

I copied the older file to a new folder and renamed it.  That didn't make any difference.

    Thanks

I am working with AutoCAD files.  The tags that I am talking about are tags that lead to other views.  Am I asking the correct question?  Are those smart tags?

    Thanks
