Mojave Update Problems with PDFs

Since I update my Mac to Mojave 10.14, I get the following message when I open a PDF:

Adobe Acrobat Reader could not open 'DocumentXX.pdf' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).

What can I do?
