Multiple Processes Adobe RdrCEF

I have Adobe Reader DC Version 2018.011.20038 installed and each time a user launches the app, two processes are running for the Adobe program as well as multiple instances of Adobe RdrCEF(32 bit). Why is this? One user has 12 instances of it running and Adobe is using over half a GB of RAM.
