    Hello Sebastianb,

We apologize for the inconvenience caused, as per the description above, Adobe Reader is crashing while highlighting any text, is that correct?

Please check for any pending updates of Adobe Reader from help>check for updates, reboot the machine after updating Adobe Reader and see if this brings any changes.

If you are using a Windows machine, try repairing the Adobe Reader installation files from help>repair installation, reboot the machine after repair.

Reset the Adobe Reader's Preferences once, to reset the Preferences, please refer to the steps mentioned in the Adobe article How to reset Acrobat Preference settings to default.

Does Adobe Reader crash while highlighting text in a scanned PDF or with all the PDF files? Is it specific to one PDF or with all the PDF?

Is it a Mac or Windows machine and what is the version of the operating system installed?

Also, what is the dot version of Adobe Reader installed? To identify, refer to Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC

Let us know how it goes and share your findings.

    Regards,

    Anand Sri.
