If you only need to view, print, and fill out PDF forms, Adobe Acrobat Reader is completely free. Make sure you've downloaded Adobe Acrobat Reader, not the free trial of Adobe Acrobat Pro. If you're seeing trial or subscription prompts, try uninstalling the current version and installing the free Reader instead.

Hope that helps!

Hello everyone - I might have found a solution for this.

Note: I uninstalled all versions of adobe acrobat from my desktop first.

1. If you go to adobe acrobat reader free (search on Google). Once clicked,

2. scroll down and click the 'more download options' under the download acrobat reader button at the bottom of the page.

3. Make sure that the 'Acrobat add-on' is UNticked. This is the extension for Google Chrome that seems to be causing the payment first window to pop up everytime you try to view a pdf file. This way, a different window will pop up, showing their add-ons. You can just get out of this window and should be able to proceed with the normal free viewing advantages.

Exactly what did you download from where? The only “freeware” is Adobe Acrobat Reader, not Acrobat Pro or Acrobat Standard.

To download and install Adobe Acrobat Reader, go to https://get2.adobe.com/reader/, uncheck the options for so-called “optional offers” and click on the Download Acrobat Reader button.

Thanks

This is what I do but eventually at the moment of using a service (in my case to join several PDF together) I get this:

https://acrobat.adobe.com/fr/fr/landing/pdf-pack-combine.html?trackingid=Q75XPVJ7&ttid=cmbnfls1&DTProd=Reader&DTServLvl=Free

Always, I can't start my work
