My Magnifying glass stopped working and cannot find words in PDF/yellow Highlighter stopped working

I am using Adobe PRO DC.   My problems are:

1.  My "magnifying glass" for searching the PDF for a specific word has stopped. I have tried restarting my computer and reloading software from the Adobe website with no success. I am using a iMac 27 inch (2020). 

2.  My highlighter stopped working and cannot get it fixed. It does not even mark the text.  I cannot get it to work.  Same computer.
