My text has a lighter double

All my excel & word docs & spreadsheets print fine, but all my Adobe PDF's have a slightly double print that I can't seem to get corrected, tried all kind of printer settings before I send it to my printer, but nothing seems to correct it. Uploded an example below:

Thanks for your reply, the pic I attached in my post was not a bad scan, it was an actual scan of the pdf that I printed from Adobe Reader DC, all the files I print from Adobe Reader DC look like this. I am just trying to find out if I can correct this in some way. It is not my printer, all my Microsoft Word & Excel files print fine with no coruption?
