Name of the opened PDF file is incorrectly displayed. So when I switch between the multiple applications & files, this creates confusion for me. Is there any workaround for this bug? Also is there any way to report it?

I opened a PDF file & I noticed a name of the file is displayed incorrectly. This seems like new bug since I wasn’t having any such issue till now. When I switch between the multiple applications & files, this issue creates confusion for me. I don’t know if I am referring to the correct file or not, so I have to double check the content before proceeding further.

Anyone else is facing this? & is there any workaround for this bug?

I don’t seem to find option to report it. So if there is one, kindly share that here as well.

Hope you are doing well and thank you for reaching out and sharing the details and I’m really sorry for the trouble this has caused.

We need some more information for a better understanding:

  • Is this happening with all PDF files or only specific ones? Try with a different PDF file and check
  • Are these files stored locally on your device or in cloud storage (like Adobe/Drive)?
  • What is the version of the OS and the Acrobat Reader application you are using? Go to Help > About Acrobat and try updating it to the latest version available, go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

 

Additionally go to Preferences (Ctrl,Cmd+K) > Documents > Select ‘Always use file name as document title’ > click OK and reboot the application once and see if that helps.

Hi Amal, 

 

I was able to solve the problem with the preferences change after updating the application and rebooting the computer. Before update as well I tried that, but it didn’t solve the issue.
