Need Help Deactivating/Unistalling Adobe Acrobat Reader DC

Question

I am desperately wanting to deactivate or uninstall my Adobe Acrobat Reader DC on my MacBook Pro. Can someone walk me through this completely, with steps?

I have spoke with support and nothing worked. I was told to restart my computer and then drag it and bring it to Trash. It just bounces back into the Dock and nothing happens. I absolutely hate this application because it is not easily usable for me.

Any help would be appreciated.
