Hello @tobias_7420

I hope you are doing well, and thank you for reaching out.

Adobe Acrobat 2017 employs a serial–number–based activation model, which permits activation on only two computers at a time.
Your screenshots show two important things:

  • The Adobe account page shows “No activated devices.” This is expected because perpetual licenses (2017) do not appear in the online device management portal.

  • The activation dialog confirms that the maximum number of activations has already been reached, and Adobe cannot automatically deactivate the old PC.

Please note that Acrobat 2017 is now an end-of-support product, and support ended on June 6, 2022. See this article for more information: End of support for Adobe Acrobat 2017 Classic and Acrobat Reader 2017 Classic.

If you still have the old PC: Open Acrobat 2017> Help > Deactivate (or Sign Out). This frees up the activation.

Close all running Adobe apps, and then use the Acrobat Cleaner tool to remove any traces of the installed Acrobat. Restart the machine, and then download Acrobat 2017 from the official link. Use the serial number for activation. Note: the steps may or may not work as the app is no longer supported.

You can contact the technical support team via phone or chat, and they will be happy to assist you further.

Regards,

Anand Sri.

Hello,

i paid 199,00 € for the software. I cant deactivate Adobe PDF on my old Computer, because my Harddisk was defective. I got a new Harddisk. Its the same PC, but a new Windows-Installation.

Can you please reset all computers for my serial number?
