As of today, every time I open a document, I get an alert to sign up for "Edit PDF", and Reader is frozen until I click it away.

This troll appears regardless of whether the application is already running or if another document is already open.

Any way to change this behavior?

We are aware of this issue and are working on releasing a fix soon. Can you please quit the application and relaunch, that should fix the issue.

Hi all,

Adobe Acrobat and Reader official update containing the fix for this issue is now available. This update will be automatically pushed to all existing installations of Acrobat and Reader. If you want, you may also manually trigger the update by opening the application and going to Help > Check for Updates.
