"New version" x and √ downgraded....

Not in love with this update.  I create check lists for work, and use the x and √ features as needed while accomplishing the list.  I used to be able to just click the x, then add an x in whatever line item needed.  Now I have to click the x, click the line item, click the 3 dots, click the x again, then resize and adjust as it is seriously too large.  Major downgrade in my opinion.  I do love the look of the icons now though.  But the program becomes far less useful for me with all the unnecessary added steps.  It now becomes quicker to just print out my check lists and use a pen.
