Newest update bogs down

I'm not sure what happened with the newest update, however, it now takes up to 10 minutes to save one file onto my computer.  Is there an internal issue that I need to resolve?  I don't think there is because prior to the latest update I never had an issue to with Reader.  Now, it is one of those programs I dread to use, and unfortunately, I spend almost $70 per month on Adobe products so I'm kind of stuck using it as my default.  Any help available?

    Hello Carrief,

We're sorry for the trouble you had with Adobe Reader, what is the dot version of Adobe Reader installed on the machine? To identify, refer to Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC

Is it a Mac or Windows machine and what is the version?

Navigate to Adobe Reader's Preferences from Edit>Preferences(Windows), Acrobat/Reader menu>Preferences(Mac)>General>uncheck these two options 'Show online Storage when opening files' and 'Show online storage when saving files'>Click OK and launch Adobe Reader back and check.

For testing purpose, disable the ' Protected Mode at startup' and ' Enable Enhanced Security' from Edit>Preferences(Windows), Acrobat/Reader menu>Preferences(Mac)>Security(Enhanced) and check if this brings any difference.

Are you facing this issue while saving a specific PDF file or with all the PDF files?

Make sure that you have the latest version of Adobe Reader version 19.008.20074 installed, check for any pending updates from help>check for updates, reboot the machine after updating Adobe Reader.

Also, repair Adobe Reader from help>repair installation files(only for Windows).

Let us know how it goes and share your observation.

    Thanks,

    Anand Sri.
