Question

No scroillig on touchscreen - WIN11 64bit laptop

Hi,

Scrolling with finger on touchscreen in no longer available in my Dell XPS WIN11 laptop. When you try scrolling it mealy highlights the text.

I have re-installed Acrobat DC 64bit and restarted laptop several times.

Any ideas? thanks in advance.

I too have the same problem on MS Surface Tablet with Windows 10. It is very annoying and just started in the last month or so. This only happens in Adobe Acrobat reader. I reinstalled Adobe Acrobat reader with no change in behavior. Thankfully the hint to select the "hand tool" on the toolbar does fix it, but it has to be selected for every document opened. I wish it would stay set, but it doesn't. At least there is a work around.

I know this is an old thread, but did Adobe ever address this. I've had this issue for some time now and finally got around to seeing if there was a fix for the defect. Like all the others, my screen works fine for every program except Reader and then it will not allow scrolling. But the touchscreen works fine for selecting other screen icons.

Hi. I also now have this problem. I cannot move the pdf using the screen, although touch does allow use of the scroll bars. Also, cannot resize/zoom using pinch. Other things like Excel and browers are fine, it is only Adobe Acrobat that has gone a bit weird.

Please can we have an answer to this??

Thank you for reaching out.

This seems to be weird behavior. Please check if you experience the same behavior with other applications or just Acrobat.

If the issue occurs only with Acrobat, try opening different PDFs and see if it happens with all.

Share the Acrobat and OS versions on the machine.

Hi Meenakshi,

To scroll with touch I now have to select the 'hand tool' either by right mouse click or at bottom of app. I did not need to do this before and would be able to touch scroll or select text freely. To select text I must choose the 'pointer tool' now also.

Can you tell me if there is a way to return to this functunality please?
