Question

no "sign in " button in Reader DC on Win10

I have a user that recently underwent a hardware and software upgrade.

When he was on Windows 7 running Reader DC, there was a sign in button in the upper right side of the toolbar.  He could sign in and use a purchased add-in that allowed him to create a .DOC from a PDF.

In Windows 10 running Reader DC, that button is no longer available.

He can still use other Windows 7 workstations running Reader DC and the button shows up on all of them

in my lab testing on other Windows 10 workstations, I don't get the sign in button either logged in a an admin.

Thanks.

    Hi Jimh,

We apologize for the delay in response.

As mentioned above, that don't see the "Sign In" button at the top. Then what do you get there right at the corner?

try installing the latest update of the application and see if that helps.

Update by opening the application and going to Help > Check for Updates.

More information about this release is here: Acrobat Help | Release notes | Acrobat DC and Acrobat Reader DC | Update

Let us know if it still doesn't work.

    Regards,

    Akanchha

Sorry for the delayed response.  This got lost in the shuffle.  Here's a screenshot of the upper portion of the Reader DC screen with the "about adobe reader " window up.  There is nothing in the upper right corner except for the blocks to change the view.

    Hi J-imh,

This shouldn't be the case, unless its restricted by the IT during the deployment of Adobe Reader.

    It should look like-

Can you confirm how did the system was updated from Win-7 to Win-10? You may check with the IT team, whether they have restricted the "Sign In" during deployment or not?

Also, to cross check the same you can download from our desktop directly and see if that helps- Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Install for all versions

    Regards,
