I am trying to update my adobe reader but getting error - "please close all the instances ........" Even though there is nothing running. Also after restarting and immediately updating - same error message is flashed. I am using windows-10, 64-bit Dell Laptop, Mcafee antivirus. the error comes at the time of installation. Downloading is ok.

Hi Suyash

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that. As described you are unable to update Acrobat Reader and getting the above mentioned error

Please reboot the computer once and then try installing the patch manually from the link - https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/ReleaseNotesDC/index.html and see if that works.

If it still doesn't work, you may look at the suggestions made in the similar discussions listed below and see if that helps
