Not opening pdf files in Internet Explorer

I wanted to report that we found an issue with the latest Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (v19.012.20034). It's not opening pdf files from the Internet Explorer browser (SharePoint). We uninstalled Reader, ran the cleaner tool and reinstalled the latest version but it just opens as a gray screen in the browser window. When we downgraded to the previous version (v19.010.20099) it works fine. It may be due to Form Fields or Signature blocks also.

    Are these pdf's scans? Could be that "Show large images" is unchecked in Edit>Properties>Page display.

    Thank you for your assistance. The pdf's are not scans.

    We're also trying to have them open in the browser versus using the Adobe PDF Reader Add-on.

    I would check the preferences anyway just to be sure.

    If not a plug-in, what are you using? What browser are you using?
