Not want scanned document to be editable.

We scanned a certificate to send it by e-mail. This certificate is proof that the recipient took a curse, so it is suppose to not be editable.

But when we open the PDF in Acrobat Reader we could easily modify it with the “Fill & Sign” option.

Is there is a simple way to make the scanned document not editable?

    Hello!

You can prevent users from changing PDFs and can prohibit users from editing, moving or adding texts in a PDF. You can add password protection in a PDF using Acrobat. You can also add a restriction in a PDF so that other users cannot add their signature.

    Certificate-based signatures, Adobe Acrobat DC

With freeware Adobe Reader you can only view a PDF, print a PDF, annotate a PDF or Sign a PDF. For details information, refer to Adobe Acrobat Reader DC FAQs
