On Saturday I received an e-mail that my ID would expire unless I logged in. To log in I needed to change my password. Was this from Adobe or was it a scam/virus.??

On Saturday I received an e-mail which seemed to come from Adobe saying that my ID was going to expire unless I logged in.  To log in I needed a password. OI do not remember having a password so I arranged a new one. A subsequent e-mail asked if I have asked for a change of password. Was the issue raised by Adobe or was the whole thing a scam/virus with a security risk.???
