Hello Experts,

Unfortunately we must invest our time in learning how to use XP, are fooled to pay for Vista, install W 7, and then we are again FORCED to  learn something new.  I hate the fact that a monopoly like Adobe can dictate what I must spend my time on.

I strongly dislike the new complicated Adobe Reader layout.  Admittedly  you can, which is an excellent  feature (for a however horrendous price)  get a near perfect, not perfect,  conversion  of a silly  40 page  manual full of unnecessary bull...t   like  "Thanks for buying the best blablabla" and written by someone in such bad English that you are not sure you even understand what he means and are loath to give to your workers.

But 90% of my PDFs are just documents I need to read  like invoices and offers,  and for that the old Acrobat reader was MUCH more convenient.

Can anybody please tell me whether there is a way to get rid of the new Adobe Reader  (revert to the old sytem or getting someone else's software) and still be able to read my invoices ?

Thanks for any help you may be able to give me.

    Hi kaarlov71833341,

You may try removing existing installation of Reader with the help of Cleaner tool from here: Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

    Restart the machine.

Download Adobe Reader XI from the following link:

Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution

(select the operating system, language, and version from the drop-down options available)

    Thank You,

    Shivam

    Hi Shivam,

Sincere thanks for using your time to help me. I will try to follow your instructions later once more. Just tried  and I always in the end ended up being able only to download the DC version, probably my fault. It's like when I download some program from c-net which used to be an excellent source and very easy, I now usually am not smart enough to not fall into the traps they invented to push the wrong  "install" button and get something they want me to have, not what I wanted to have.

    Kindest regards

At step 3 of the link choose Reader 11.
