Question

'Open Recent Files' is still not working in Acrobat Pro for Mac

Despite someone's erroneously marking a similar question as having been answered correctly, this basic feature is still not working as of June 23, 2024.  I downloaded the recent update (2024.002.20857).   The recently used list doesn't work even for files stored on the local hard drive.

PLEASE ADDRESS THIS PROBLEM OR PROVIDE INFORMATION.

Agreed and amplifying! This seems like it should be an easy fix and yet it's been several months with no resolution. This "glitch" truly does make me wonder why I use Adobe when I could use the much more space-efficient generic reader that came with my Mac or Google Docs.

Hi there

Hope you are doing well.

What is the version of the OS and the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 24.02.20857 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Please try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://adobe.ly/4bvsJ7H

You may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights or enable the root account in MAC and try using the application there and check.

10.14.24: Most updated version of Acrobat (no update available according to CC) and "Open Recent Files" still doesn't work, even after building new pref. file via directions above.
