Opening a side bar on a PDF attachment

When I had Outlook I was able to open a pdf attachment and the side bar would also open allowing me to fill in forms etc.  I no longer have Outlook and am using Telstra webmail.  The page opens but no side bar.  In outlook the pdf file was in red. Now the pdf file is in grey but not sure what this means.  I really need help please as I used this a lot and want to get it back!

Many thanks

Iris Kitchen

ps I have been through all the various "how to" helps but can't find anything about this

Save the attachment to the local disc and open the file in Acrobat Reader.

I found this from Telstra Mail support. Others have had the same issue and have reported that the solution is the same as the advice you have gotten here on the Adobe forums in this thread.

    • Save the PDF. Then open it in Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Solved: pdf files - Telstra Crowdsupport - 734246

Or you could ask on the Telstra forums.

Yes I did try this method but I can't copy it for some strange reason.

I can copy any other attachment except those PDF ones that come through

Telstra.  I can open the document but the side bar is missing. Any

suggestions other than that which I have already tried would be most

    welcome

    Many thanks!

Irisk, what do you mean by "sidebar"? I can think of several things. Where is it located, and what do you expect to see?

    Also, is your question answered?

Hello Bernd.  I tried this but it didn't work.  If I click on the

attachment to save then it just saves the logo,  not the content of the

attachment.  I then tried saving it as a web page and that didn't work

    either.  Any other suggestions please?

    Many thanks

I can't help. I know nothing about Telstra.
