    Hello marctwang

As per the description above, you want to open documents to default Reader view in Adobe Reader, Is that correct?

Viewing preferences needs to be set for individuals file using Acrobat application for the Reading mode. By default, Reader won't open the files in Reader mode.

However, you can use the Shortcut for Reading mode Ctrl+H or Acrobat>View>Read mode option.

For more information, you may refer to Viewing PDFs and viewing preferences, Adobe Acrobat
