Opening file in correct size and printing

I work in Publisher.  I designed a 5X7 project, and saved it as a pdf file.  When I open it, it is a 5X7 in the middle of an 8.5X11 paper.  I designed a 4X6 file in Publisher and saved it as a pdf.  It, too, won't open as a 4X6.  Can I work in Publisher - save as a pdf - and open in the size I want?

    If you are saving from Publisher, rather than using Adobe software, it's up to Publisher to make the right file size. If you're printing to PDF you need to choose a custom print size. If you have Acrobat you can crop pages back to size.
