Outlook when opening a PDF file - we can't verify your subscription status

Windows 10 - Office 365 licens
We have one user, when opening a attached PDF file from outlook, it comes up with an error "we can't verify your subscription status"?

But when PDF file is saved locally, it works fine... The difference noticed is that the profile icon is Grey when opening directly from the mail and Blu/green when opening locally...

DO you know the solution to this?

Hi there

We are sorry to hear that. Please try to turn off the protected mode for testing (Win Only) and see if that works for you. Go to Edit > Preferences > Enhanced Security > Uncheck 'Enable protected mode at startup' Turn off the Protected mode and uncheck 'Enhanced Security' > Click OK and reboot the computer.

Note: Please turn on the security after testing to avoid any security risks

Hi Beni

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described, you are getting the error 'We cant verify your subscription status'

Please try the steps provided in the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/in/download-install/kb/cannot-verify-subscription-offline-mode.html and see if that helps.

You may also look at the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/in/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-network-issues.html and see if that works for you.

Let us know how it goes.

Regards

I am having the same issue with just one of our customers. Nothing is different about this workstation and it works fine if we download the file first and then open it. Just opening directly from Outlook causes the issue. The issue is not with access to the activation servers. Nothing is being blocked via firewall rules.
