Password secured bank statement won't open in Adobe Acrobat Reader

If I preview the document on Gmail, it will open with the password, however, when I download the same document and try and open it with Adobe Acrobat Reader for Mac, it says that the password is incorrect and won't open. This is a new issue, Reader used to open my bank statements with the same password before.

Any ideas?
