PDF and SharePoint Online for 365 - linking

We use SharePoint Online for 365 as our intranet and my page is locked down so I am pretty limited on what I can do. I do not have any documentation tools other than Word. The documents I want to post are for reference and are not to be revised, so I post them as PDFs. I have heading links and bookmarks I add while working in Word and I convert to PDF in Word using the Save As and I do have the option "Create bookmarks using headings selected. How can I access and find these links once my documents has been converted to PDF using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and uploaded to SharePoint, or do I have to try to convince my company to pay for an upgraded version of Reader for this?

I need to set up a library of documentation and be able to link to certain places in the documents, not just to the documents.

Thanks in advance to anyone that can help me!  Sherri
