PDF file opening in browsers but not in adobe acrobat reader

HI,

 

In one of our windows applications, we receive a pdf file from mainframe to windows via SFTP. After we receive the PDF, we were able to open the file in browsers like Edge, Chrome etc., but we were not able to open the file in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC version 2020.009.20074. It says "a file I/O error has occurred". Could you please let me know what could be the issue and what needs to be done to fix it.

Can you share the actual file with us?

You can attach it to the original message using the tiny paperclip icon at the bottom when you edit it, or upload it to a file-sharing website (like Dropbox, Google Drive, Adobe Cloud, etc.), generate a share link and then post it here.
