PDF file opening only in Edge windows 10 1909 build

We are upgrading to Adobe Acrobat Reader DC v 21.001.20155 in Windows 10 1909 build.  On Adobe Acrobat Reader DC v 21.001.20155 installation completion PDF files are opening only in Edge.   we have configured set a default associations configuration file policy 

<Association Identifier=".pdf" ProgId="AcroExch.Document.DC" ApplicationName="Adobe Reader DC" />

But still we come across this issue.  Can you pls help to advise

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described the PDF files are opening with Edge.

 

It is a know issue with Microsoft where Edge takes the ownership of the PDF files as default.Please checkout the similar discussion  I have found on Microsoft help page https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/edge-keeps-making-itself-the-default-pdf-viewer/5dd09172-bc7a-4072-81ca-7ffca4decbeb and see if that works for you.
