I am having issues opening pdf files on my computer.  When I open a pdf,

I get a message Adobe Acrobat Reader DC has stopped working

"A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.  Windows still close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

I know my computer did some windows update this morning and I am not sure if this is part of the problem.

    Hi Rodr19257201,

Please try the repair installation of the application and if that does not help, please refer to the link below and see if it helps:

Troubleshoot Windows system errors, freezes | Adobe software

Also, if this does not work, you may try the steps mentioned in the following link too:

How to reset Preference settings in Acrobat.

Let me know, how it goes.

    Thanks,

    Supriya

Dear Supriya, I am not sure if this email is directed to me; however, I did try everything

The problem occurred after I had deleted several apps I was not interested in keeping

Somehow the entire Adobe Pdfs’ stopped working and I was not only angry but totally

confused as to how to fix the problem. Adobe has totally inefficient with any assistance

to the free downloads, which only made me more angry. The result I had to buy a new

program, which is up and working like a great-charm! All is well that ends well as long

as I pay for services I received free a month ago!!!

    Sincerely,

    Nichole
