PDF Form opening in browser can't be sent

Hi all,

I have something I would like to get solve with a PDF form. First, it can't be filled in Firefox 56 - 64 bits and then, it CAN be filled in Chrome 61 but it can't be sent. There is a button that, when clicked, is supposed to open default mail apps and send the PDF form, attached and filled.

It works from local drive with Acrobat Reader DC. But doesn't work from Web, when opened in browsers.

Anyone could help ?

If you really must use a PDF form, advise them to download the form and open it in Acrobat Reader. You may have to talk them through that; you'll need to know the major browsers on Windows, Mac, iPhone and Android at least.

My personal view is that the day of PDF forms has passed because the browser makers killed it. HTML - normal web forms - are the way to go unless - like the IRS - you have the clout to insist and the sort of forms that only work in PDF.

Just good luck. Probably a different kind of submit. You could perhaps make it work in more browsers - but not for example on Safari on iPhone which a lot of your users have. Are you sending to a web URL?

The PDF form can be downloaded from a web page, yes.

So, what is the best way to ask bring people to fill and send a PDF form ?

Download the file, fill in Reader. Most browsers don't work properly for forms, nobody can fix it.

Thank you. But I have many examples of PDF forms that can be filled and sent from browser. It must be possible with any isn't ?
