PDF FREEZING UP

Over the past few weeks, I have had trouble with pdf files after opening them, in that their freeze my entire computer, or the pdf itself remains unresponsive.  I do not have this problem opening pdf files on my laptop.  Any solutions or ideas would be appreciated.

    Please confirm the application and operating system versions you are using.

    Try the repair installation of the application from the Help menu and if you still face the issue, please share any particular error message that you might receive when trying to open the files.
