PDF producing blank boxes in place of numbers

Hi forum!

I have a PDF that looks fine until I try to combine it with another PDF.  Some numbers are replaced with blank boxes.  I checked if all fonts are embedded or embedded subset (they are).  When I edit the document and look at the properties, it says the original font is Arial MT (which I have embedded) and Adobe states it doesn't have it.

Currently using Adobe Acrobat Pro X on Win 7.  This pdf was sent to us from another company so no original form here.

Edit: printing the same PDF through Adobe allowed me to combine it with other PDF's without changing the numbers these wingdings.  Still opened to other suggestions!
