Hi All

In several years we have created PDF files with the program eDocPrinter PDF Pro from Iteksoft. We have created som templates that we use to print quotations and so on from our ERP program.

The newest Adobe Reader version (2018.009020044) suddenly can't handle our PDF's. It open page 1 without the template and the AcroRD32.exe proces do not close properly when closing the PDF file.

It just keeps running in the background for several minutes and then show an error "Acrobat failed to connect to a DDE server".

I should point out, that it's only a problem in the newest version (2018.009020044) all earlier version do not have issues with the PDF we create.

The eventvwr shows no errors or warnings .

The issue occurs both in Windows 7 and Windows 10 x64.

Anyone else that have had issues with the newest version?

Any help would be highly appreciated?

    Hi Anand Sri

The problem only occured when opening PDF's created from our templates. Other PDf's worked just fine, so I figured it might be the templates that was the problem.

Found out that one 1specific page caused the problems. Replaced it with a new version and now it runs fine.

Thank you very much for your interest in helping out.

    Hello Michaels,

As per the description above, you are getting error "Acrobat failed to connect to a DDE server" with the Adobe Reader version (2018.009020044), Is that correct?

Please restart the machine once and then check. If the issue persists, please repair the installation files of Reader from Help>Repair installation file.

Restart the computer and then check the  files.
