PDF text disappears when saving

Hi, for the second time now I've spent hours reading and marking a text and when I clicked "save" the whole text disappeared, only the marks remained. Is there a way to restore the text and not lose my marks and comments?

I hope you are doing well. I am sorry for your experience with Acrobat Reader.

 

Please share the below details with us to check on the issue further:

1. The Operating System and the version you are using

2. The application version you are using;

3. A screen recording of the scenario so that we can check.

 

Please check if there are any pending updates for the Application. To check for it, go to Help-> Check for Updates.

 

Also, is the file stored on a shared network/drive? if yes, please download the file locally on your computer and then try again and check.
