PDFs Printing Too Light - ONLY in Adobe

We are having constant problems with PDFs printing too light. We have done the "print as image" as well as removing the save ink check mark. 

A quick background:

We create CAD drawings in AutoCad and Revit, and then convert the drawings to pdfs to share with clients. We have been doing this for literally years. Now, when we open the pdf in Adobe and print from there, the pdf is so light it's barely legible. I thought maybe it was the CAD to PDF conversion, however, if we open from another program, it prints fine. The easy answer is to just print from the other program, but we don't all have the other software. Does anyone have any ideas? 

We are using PCs and the version of adobe is 2022.002.20212 - 64 bit, and there are no updates available.
