Here is the link Reader is failing to open.

https://www.gsa.gov/Forms/TrackForm/32816

It works on a p.c.

The above message appears on Apple IOS devices.

Saving the file to the iOS device or cloud and opening with reader results in the same message.

It's just that the iOS versions don't have all the bells and whistles of the standard desktop version. Keeps them a lot leaner. Certain options aren't available for iOS not because something was deliberately disabled, it just wasn't added maybe because of the size of the app that would be required or maybe because of limitations to the iOS itself.

    I understand your logic.

However since other PDF files work just fine, it does not make sense.

Forms take more resources than static pdf files. For your basic, everyday pdf file with no extras, the mobile version works fine as you can see. To make form filling work would require a bigger app with more ability.

So you mean that this Adobe created PDF has some sort of settings that make it un readable on an iOS device?

Or is a deliberate disabling of features that work for all other PDF files on an iOS device?

Other PDF files still work on iOS device.

No. Not on mobile devices for that type of form. You need to open in the standard desktop version of the free Reader software.

Open the file on a non-mobile device.
