Please wait... If this message is not eventually replaced by the proper contents of the document

WIndows 11, latest version of Adobe Reader DC downloaded and installed. PDF file is downloaded on my desktop. I have "Enable Protected Mode at startup" and "Enable Enhanced Security" unchecked. I open Reader, then go "File" "Open" and select the file. Still getting this error message.

Hi @Jim31740247px22

Hope you are doing well.

If this message appears while opening the file, "Please wait... If the proper contents of the document do not eventually replace this message."

Then this is a lifecycle designer file. You have downloaded the file on your system, but check if it's at the correct location and accessible.

1- Restart your computer.

2- Go to the folder where you have downloaded/saved this file

3- Double click and open in Adobe Reader or Acrobat

Did it work this way? Also refer to this article here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-reader-discussions/pdf-won-t-display-please-wait/td-p/4788543

Thanks,

Akanchha
