Question

Plug-in dropdown is missing

Hello, apologies if this has an obvious answer but I have searched everywhere and don't understand! I have the free Adobe Acrobat Reader and and am trying to install the accessability plug-in CommonLook but I can't see the plug-in drop down on my toolbar. I have been into settings and disabled protection mode.

Am I missing something or are plug ins not available with the free version of reader?

Thanks!

Certain plugins work with Reader. But certainly not advanced plugins like this. The web page for this plugin also says it is for Acrobat. "Acrobat" alone does not mean "Acrobat Reader". You need an Acrobat license.

Developing plugins for Reader requires a hard-to-get (and very expensive) license from Adobe, so this is not surprising.

Was a solution ever found for this? I'm also experiencing this problem.

May be that it is not available for Acrobat Reader.
