Previous Versions (Win95 & Win98)

Regarding two old laptop PCs:

Is there a recommended version of Acrobat Reader to install on the Win95 laptop?

For the Win98 laptop, it appears Acrobat Reader 5 is recommended. Would 5.05 be better than 5.00?

Hi Awc25141453

Apologies for the late response.

Acrobat Reader 6 works on Windows 98 and you can download it from:

http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/6.x/6.0/enu/AdbeRdr60_enu_full.ex

And the same might work for Windows 95 too.

Also, please check the private message i have sent to you for more information on the same.

Thanks,

Supriya

Hi Supriya,

This link no longer works to download the exe. Can you please provide a new link?

Older installers of Reader are available here:

ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/
Replace "win" with "mac" if you have the Mac version.
You must use a dedicated FTP client to open the link, it won't work in most browsers.
