I am simply trying to print a PDF document and I receive a error message: "Unable to convert PostScript file".  I have never had problems in the past when I print PDF files. Suggestions?

Correct answer Amal.

Hi there

We are sorry for the trouble. AS described you are getting the error: Unable to convert PostScript file

We need some more information for a better understanding.

  • What is the version of the Adobe Acrobat / Reader DC installed? To check the version of the application please use the help article: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/identify-product-version.html
Make sure you have the latest version 19.21.20061 installed. Go to Help > Check for Updates. You may also use the help article:https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/ReleaseNotesDC/index.html for more information.
  • Please try to print as an image and see if that works for you. Go to Print > Advanced > Print as image.
  • Also, please check for the printer driver and firmware updates, try updating them. If it still doesn't work please try to remove the printer driver and firmware and try reinstalling them.

Let us know how it goes

Regards

Amal

I had this same exact issue today.  Suddenlly after printing several documents this morning, it stopped working.

The only thing I can think of, I downloaded a FAX software from the APPS store to send a Fax.  That's when it stopped working.   I  changed the Print as Image Setting, and now it seems to be fine.  Thanks for the help!
