print to pdf makes a doc into a "picture" rather than text, that you can copy/highlight etc

Hi,

 

I'm wondering about why i sometimes, when printing out a handful of pages from a large pdf, using the print button and then "Drag2PDF", the new print becomes more like a picture of the document, rather than text in pdf form, so i can't highlight, copy or otherwise interact with text..

 

It doesn't happen with all documents..

    Don't print pdf to pdf. Not ever. Acrobat can extract pages. And rejoin them.

    Please let us know the step-by-step workflow you use to print to PDF. As the issue occurs with a particular PDF, share the PDF with us so we can replicate the behavior. 

    Ensure that the files you Print to PDF are not image files. 

    Share the Acrobat and OS version numbers.
