I have been using Acrobat Reader for a couple of decades and this is the first time I have had a printing problem.

1)  I received a paper copy of a document, Rev 0.  I brought it home from a meeting and scanned it into my hard drive.  It prints fine.

2)  I received an electronic copy of the document, Rev 1, via email, and saved it to my hard drive.  It prints fine.

3)  I received an electronic copy of the document, Rev 2, via email, and saved it to my hard drive.  I opened the document and I can read it on the screen, but it does not print and locks up the printer.  I rebooted and the document would not print.  I turned off the printer and turned it back on and the document would not print.  I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers for the HP Laser Jet printer.  I turned off the printer, turned it back on, and tried to print Rev 0 and it printed fine.  I tried to print Rev 1 again and it printed fine.  I tried to print Rev 2 and it locked up the printer.

4)  I had the sender transmit the document again and had the same issues noted in #3.

5)  I received an electronic copy of the document, Rev 3, Rev 4, and Rev 5 with the same results noted in #3.

6)  NOTE:  Other people copied on these documents can print the documents without problems.

Any thoughts??

Don

    Hi Dons,

As I understand, you are not able to print the Rev 2 PDF file as it is locking the Printer, Is this correct?

Please check whether the Printing for this PDF is allowed by opening the PDF in Acrobat Reader>File>Properties>Security Tab.

You may also refer to the link for further troubleshooting:  Troubleshoot PDF printing in Acrobat and Reader

Let us know how it goes.
