Printing PDF with transparent shape

Hello,
our product can generate PDFs with geometries using the iTextSharp library, but sometimes the PDF results has printing problems in Acrobat Reader DC (some lines or border areas are not printed). We have come to see that this is related to the use of transparency, and that the problem arises both when printing to a printer with a PCL driver and when printing using a Microsoft PDF printer. So we'd like to ask if can anyone check if there's anything wrong with our PDFs. Thank you in advance for your reply.
Regards

It may be an error in Acrobat Reader, and we might hear this. But Adobe staff are not going to be able to give advice on programming with iTextSharp. I suggest contacting them (iTextSharp support) anyway, it may be an issue they have already seen.

I'm not sure, it's problem of iTextSharp. I sent e-mail with attachments before an hour to Vishal. Last e-mail communication with Vishal was:

    Hello Vishal,

yes, you are right - in the PDFs which are created by printing to PDF, some lines (borders) are "only" thinner. But on the real paper from a real printer these lines are missing completely. And this is the REAL problem.

As evidence I could send you this scanned paper, but it's easier (or more proving) if you try it yourself on a printer with a PCL driver. With the PS driver on the same printer, it works well with us ...

And it's probably not important what kind of printer it will be - if Sharp, HP, Epson, Cannon, ...

Thank you very much for your help

    Jaroslav

    Hi Jaroslav,

Sorry for delay. I have forwarded the issue to team and yet to hear from them. Let me look into deeper this and will expedite the investigations here.

You mentioned that “some lines or border areas are not printed”. In the file which you have sent I can see that lines are printed but the width of some of the lines are not consistent in the printed out as compare to the original file. Is that the concern? I am checking so that I know I am looking at the same problem which you are.

Also, if there is any case where lines are not printing at all, do send me that file as well.

    Thanks,

    Vishal

What EXACT version of Reader, and does it still happen today?

Version 19.008.20074 and it still happens. If I could add a ZIP attachment, you could see an original PDF file and print versions
