Printing secure documents in a single pdf

Our software bundles documents together into a single pdf. Although we can print an individual pdf no problem, when it's bundled with others, a security setting will prevent it from being included in the bundle. Is there a security setting I can change to allow the software to include security protected pdf's into the bundle? The security method I see when I open in individual document is "Password Security" but it also says Can be opened by : Acrobat 7.0 and later. And it can be opened from within the software, it just creates an exception error when it hits a secure one. Vendor has been less than helpful. Thanks for any insight.

You can't merge secured files, except for as a part of a Portfolio.
