Printing to a MFC-L2707DW printer from Adobe Acrobat Reader 2023.001.20143 on Windows 10 is slow

We have some users who are reporting that printing is slow to a Brother MFC-L2700DW or Brother MFC-L2707DW printer from 64-bit Adobe Acrobat Reader 2023.001.20143 on Windows 10 Version 21H2.

 

I have already tried the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Uninstalling and re-installing Adobe Acrobat Reader
  • Uninstalling and re-installing the Brother MFC-L2707DW printer driver
  • Clicking on the Advanced button in the Print Dialog box, and then checking Print to Image
  • Clicking on the Advanced button in the Print Dialog box, and then checking Let Printer determine Colors

 

The users who are experiencing issues printing to a Brother MFC-L2700DW or Brother MFC-L2707DW from Adobe Acrobat Reader are not having issues printing to a Brother MFC-L2700DW or Brother MFC-L2707DW from from other apps such as Microsoft Word or Microsoft Excel.

 

The problem is irritating for the users who are trying to print PDF's from Adobe Acrobat Reader as it takes a few minutes to get a single PDF file printed from Adobe Acrobat Reader.

    We have tried going back to Adobe Acrobat Reader DC version 2020.013.20064 on one of the computers that is having issues printing from Adobe Acrobat Reader, and the same issue is still there printing to a Brother MFC-L2707DW printer from Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 2020.013.20064.

    We have a second customer who is experiencing the same problems printing to a Brother MFC printer from Adobe Acrobat Reader.

     

    The issues with printing to a Brother MFC printer only occurs with Adobe Acrobat Reader, and the same users who are having issues printing to a Brother MFC printer from Adobe Acrobat are not having any issues printing to Brother MFC printers from other Windows applications.

     

    We need this problem resolved ASAP as it is still an ongoing problem for our customers who have Brother MFC printers.

    Thanks for reporting the issue to us. Could you please provide the following information to investigate the issue.

    1.Has the problem started happening recently, or has it been going on for a while.
    2. Is the issue happening every time, or is it happening intermittently.
    3. Is it happening with multiple machines or with one specific machine. Please confirm.
    4. How much time is it taking to print the PDF.

    5. Is the issue happening with every PDF file or some sets of PDFs. Please share a PDF.

    The issue has been going on for more than 6 months, and the issue has been happening every time. The issue is also happening on multiple machines (all running Windows 10 21H2), and it is taking 2 to 3 minutes to print a PDF file in Adobe Acrobat reader. The issue is also happening with every PDF file.
