Printing to Adobe Reader from an Intuit Tax Program

I am trying to print to Adobe Reader from my tax software and I am getting pages of blank lines, no words or numbers are appearing.  I have been using this software for 25 years and have been using Adobe Reader for 10 years and I have never had this problem before.  I worked with the tax software support for hours and hours and they have concluded that the problem must be with Adobe. However, I am able to print from other applications such as Word, Excel, QBooks, etc.

I have uninstalled, reinstalled, checked for updates, checked versions of Explorer, and checked my version of Windows 8 and I have 8.1.  This is starting to cause me to lose clients because I am losing a ton of time.

You can't "print to Adobe Reader" Adobe Reader is strictly an application made for viewing pdf files. It will view them they way they are created and can not change the layout of a document.

If I had to guess, I would say the problem lies in your tax software. It either isn't transferring everything from the original document to the pdf file or there could possibly be an issue with fonts not getting embedded. In fact, look around the print to pdf settings for font settings first.

Again, Reader has nothing to do with the pdf creation. If the tax software isn't producing a fully compliant pdf file then yes, Reader may have an issue with it.

I will check the print to pdf settings, but I agree that the problem is probably with the tax software.

    Thank you for your input.
